for christmas...
This semester has been interesting. The house renovation or painting rather has been good, my room looks good, and there are only two rooms not including the kitchen that have yet to be touched. Life at the house has taken a unsuspected turn but i have come to enjoy the new direction it is going. My roommate and I have two cats now and they are growing on me. I am going to germany for the first time. Its an amazing christmas present and I am so excited to be going but of course i dont know what to expect. Having come from spain and everyone speaking some languauge i semi-understand it will be interesting to be somewhere where the languauge is so different. Everyone says it is like english and that english is a germanic language but you know i think that is alot of talk.

house reno--

Hello everyone there has been some change of plans i am going to document here some new things. Recently I have just moved into a house with a bunch of roommates and I have decided to document the renovation. i will be adding pictures and updates of how things are going. for now here are some pictures of my room being painted.
the first picture is the walls with primer, they were a light blue
the second picture is of the fireplace with primer
things are starting to come together.

the one on the right, is of the floor with all the tools, probably we should have put more sheets down, there are paint droplets on the floor.
this is the new paint color, and the new fireplace color..yay!

this is the closet, im not sure what they were thinking with that wallpaper, or the fact that they took it only halfway off.
more pictures are to come!

exams suck
you want to know what i think about exams? i hate exams, whose freaking idea was it to have 8 tests over a series of 5 days? who thought oh yea, i mean they studied all year right? they only need like one day to study right? WHAT THE HELL this is college, not summer camp, i can review a semesters worth of material in a weekend. and no you are not "doing me a favor" by giving me monday off of school. you know what would be a favor, not having the final a&p test the last day of class, when we had only one week to prepare for it. thanks Dr. ross you really are preparing the next generation by your generosity. the human body is not capable of studying for more than a few hours at a time, what makes you think i can just spend one day studying and make good grades?
how about you care a little less about my GPA and a little more about whether or not i am learning anything in your class.

taking the plunge
So i guess I just cant keep away from this place. I wasnt going to use this blog for anything except traveling but it seems im not as active as i thought i was going to be. so why not just keep it up eh? well i heard a nice quote a few days ago on a certian TV show that I am not going to disclose. It was something like "you remember that old couch you have that smells, has a wierd stain on it, and probably should be thrown away? But one day when you have the opportunity to throw it away you cant, because you have so many good memories from it, and its such a great couch, you think there isnt another one to replace it. well that is how ______(insert hometown) is for me. I want to get out and see the world but something is always keeping me here" i think that pretty much describes how everyone feels about their hometown. I want to move away when i graduate but its not going to be easy. i know I am going to move away when i graduate i just dont know how hard its going to be. Im sure it will be similar to spain where i hate it for a little, tolerate it, then i love it. Im starting to think there are alot of places out there that are better than memphis, its all about taking the plunge.
